sharing at a church in budapest
a road in peştora.
peştora again.
i'm am so, so, so (ad infinitum) sorry for the lack of updates the past...two weeks? it's been something like two weeks, i think. some outrageous length of time that i hopefully won't have to go without a post again. the internet situation hasn't favoured long visits.
quick:
-the 1+ month long search for an apartment is finally over (praise God!). we looked at an apartment that we all liked and the price was right, and we signed the contract later that day (tuesday). hopefully we'll move in tomorrow after school, provided we can find someone with a car and time enough to make a few trips.
-the trip to the school in budapest was really beneficial. they have about 200 kids in the school there, which is absolutely colossal compared to our 44. the whole operation was incredibly professional, and made us all realise how much work we have to do. i had the opportunity to sit in on some classes and see how other teachers managed their classes, and i learned a lot. great trip.
interesting fact: coldplay was in town on the viva la vida tour while we were there.
depressing fact: i didn't get to see coldplay and i didn't get to walk around the city, but i did get to drive around it. it's the most beautiful city i've ever been in, i think.
-i caught a cold a few days ago and have been struggling through that. costina's been taking care of me though; she bought me medicine, made me soup, and let me spend the night at her house so i wouldn't have to walk an hour to the school. she's a wonderful person.
alright! internet time's up. i'll try and have some more info tomorrow about the going on's in brasov. also, a HUGE THANKS to everyone that's supported me with prayer, donations, or comments on this. it means a lot.
ciao!

Ahh man. Coldplay, so close.
I met this Turkish chick the other night and we talked about how awesome east Europe/the Mediterranean is. "Most beautiful place on earth!" she says.

Corey, I love the picture of the road. I am praying for you! OOps..sorry you did not get to see coldplay or walk the city...but yep.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST!! Yes...all caps, strong emphasis. You are missed greatly here. You are being supported and prayed for and people ask about you all the time. PLEASE give my thanks to Costina! I thank her with deep sincerity for caring for you through your cold. God answered the prayer that you would be well taken care of and nurtured. LOVE THE PHOTOS!! ( As important as this blog is...it is of course not as important as your service and attention there.)
Much love from the home front, Liz
Hey Bro, Awesome post and glad that you finally got an apartment. Look forward to hearing all about it. Great looking group of kids...'cept for that tall funny looking one standing in the back row. WE love and miss you much. Hope you got your jacket without issue.
GIRRRRL!! you be kickin' it up in that romani-izzle! corey, i love hearing about what you're doing over there. that is awesome that you got to share at a church!! i remember on my first mission trip (Africa) i had to speak. i was nervous (ad infinitum). i love the pictures!! the first one looks like it has a giant pill in the background. in the second, you look like you know exactly what you're doing (you little public speaker, you). and i LOVE the one with the dude levitating in the field!! i am praying for you to encounter the Lord and His love. miss you, corey.
It sounds and looks like you're having a wonderful time, Fox. I got to talk to your father and sister for a while at UA when they came for your tour. :) I bet you'd love it here. Hope you're having great fun. I'll be praying for you.
